KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12: Volleyball fans are in for an exciting evening at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex, as the 11th round of the Federation Volleyball Championship features a top clash between Kuwait Club and Qadsia at 7:00 PM. Earlier, at 5:00 PM, Kazma will face off against Al-Shabab in another highly anticipated match.
The standings see Kuwait Club leading with 12 points, followed closely by Kazma with 11 points, and Al-Shabab also on 11 points but behind on set difference. Qadsia and Burgan occupy fourth and fifth with 8 points, while Yarmouk sits sixth with 6 points. Al-Arabi and Al-Sulaibikhat have 2 points each, and Al-Nasr remains at the bottom with no points.
Kuwait Club aims to continue its winning streak under the guidance of Brazilian coach Carlos Eduardo, who relies on key players such as Estonian Oliver Vino, Canadian Nicolas Hogue, and local stars Abdullah Jassim, Amer Al-Salim, Adhabi Malik, and Omar Al-Anzi. The team is focused on securing a semifinal spot in the championship.
On the other side, Qadsia, with three wins and one loss so far, is determined to bounce back and stay in contention. The team’s hopes rest on players Rashed Anbar, Abdulnasser Al-Anzi, and Brazilian professionals Alison Melo and Caio Ribeiro.
Earlier in the day, Burgan faces Al-Shabab, with both teams looking to continue their strong performances in the tournament.
