KUWAIT CITY, May 14: The Cabinet’s Grievances Committee on Citizenship Withdrawal, Revocation and Loss has received a total of 14,360 grievances since opening submissions, Advisor Ali Al-Dhubaibi announced on Wednesday.
Speaking to KUNA, Al-Dhubaibi said the committee continues to accept grievances around the clock, including during official holidays, to ensure all individuals affected have ample opportunity to file their complaints.
He noted that the committee reviewed a presentation from its secretariat, which included statistical data and the steps taken to compile a study based on grievances submitted through the committee’s electronic portal.
Al-Dhubaibi clarified that individuals affected by decrees or decisions to withdraw, revoke, or nullify Kuwaiti citizenship — issued and published in the Official Gazette Kuwait Today between February 20, 2024, and April 30, 2025 —have a 60-day window to file grievances. This period began on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
He emphasized that the committee will not consider grievances previously submitted or any filed through unofficial methods. He also reiterated the committee’s full readiness to assist anyone facing difficulties in submitting grievances through the online system, encouraging affected individuals to contact the committee’s designated numbers for help.
Al-Dhubaibi urged all concerned individuals to complete the required data and submit their grievances using the official portal: https://nationalitygrievances.cmgs.gov.kw.
The committee’s grievance window remains open for 60 days from May 4, allowing individuals impacted by citizenship-related decisions to formally contest those actions.
