AMMAN, Aug 14: Kuwait’s U-18 volleyball team will kick off its journey tomorrow in the 17th Arab U-18 Volleyball Championship, hosted in Amman, Jordan, from August 15 to 26.

The “Blues” begin their group-stage matches against Palestine at 7:00 p.m. at Prince Hamzah Hall, following the Libya–Lebanon clash at 5:00 p.m. on the same court. Kuwait will then face Bahrain on Sunday and Iraq the following Wednesday.

Following the withdrawal of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the Arab Volleyball Association revised the tournament format. Kuwait’s delegation is led by Kuwait Volleyball Association board member Hamoud Al-Badhali and includes head coach Mohammed Abdulrazzaq, assistant coach Mishal Al-Subaie, physiotherapist Dr. Moataz Ezzeldin, team manager Abdullah Al-Rais, and 12 players: Mohammed Al-Doukhi, Salem Al-Shammari, Abdullah Al-Ali, Mishari Al-Mutawtah, Ahmed Al-Sarheed, Salem Khaddadah, Fahad Ayadah, Saad Al-Failakawi, Bader Bouarki, Bandar Al-Ahmad, Abdulaziz Al-Obaid, and Nasser Al-Sanea.

As part of their preparations, the team recently completed a training camp in Cairo, Egypt, where they played several warm-up matches.
