KUWAIT CITY, Oct 5: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) announced that it immediately initiated urgent precautionary measures upon receiving a report, in coordination with the Permanent Supreme Committee for International Health Regulations (IHR), regarding contamination in Uranus Star bottled drinking water imported from Iran, reports Al- Seyassah daily. PAFN explained in a statement on its X account that the measures included the immediate confiscation of any reported quantities and a temporary suspension of their circulation, along with the urgent withdrawal of samples for laboratory testing. It also banned the entry of any new shipments of this product into Kuwait until safety is verified.
