Kuwait Authorities Seize 150 Kgs of Hashish Worth Quarter Million Dinars

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 19: As part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to combat the illegal drug trade and safeguard society from its harmful effects, the Criminal Security Sector, through the General Department of Narcotics Control, arrested two individuals attempting to smuggle approximately 150 kilograms of hashish into the country. The market value of the seized narcotics is estimated at a quarter of a million Kuwaiti dinars. Upon questioning, the suspects confessed to ownership of the contraband with intent for distribution and abuse. Both individuals, along with the confiscated drugs, were handed over to the appropriate authorities for further legal action.
