KUWAIT CITY, June 23: Kuwait Airways has announced the diversion of several incoming flights to alternate airports due to the temporary closure of Kuwait’s airspace, implemented as a precautionary measure amid regional developments. The move was made in coordination with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and as part of the airline’s pre-established emergency response plan, prioritizing passenger safety.
The affected flights have been rerouted to Jeddah and Cairo airports and include the following: KU162 from Geneva, KU168 from Paris, KU126 from Sarajevo, KU114 from Manchester, KU198 from Baku, KU174 from Munich, KU102 and KU108 from London, and KU164 from Milan.
The airline confirmed that all diverted aircraft have landed safely at their respective temporary destinations and that flight statuses are being closely monitored. Kuwait Airways advised the public to stay updated through official government channels and its verified social media platforms for further announcements.
