KUWAIT CITY, May 3: According to informed sources, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Airways Corporation Abdul Mohsen Al-Faqan has appointed Abdul Wahab Al-Shatti as the new CEO of the airline. They said the decision aims to enhance operational safety and ensure smooth administrative, operational and financial processes, adding that the decision will take effect from May 1, 2025.
Furthermore, Kuwait Airways received a letter from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) stating: “Due to repeated failures in complying with aviation safety regulations and the inability to meet deadlines for correcting deficiencies, as reported by the DGCA’s regulatory authorities, it has been decided to withdraw the accreditation of Ahmed Al-Kuraibani as the CEO of Kuwait Airways”
