KUWAIT CITY, May 6: Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Abdullatif Al-Mishari affirmed Kuwait’s commitment to promoting sustainable urban development and opening new avenues for developers and investors in the construction and real estate sectors.
Speaking at the opening of the Kuwait Build Summit 2025 on Monday, Al-Mishari said that the directives of the country’s political leadership serve as a clear roadmap to support housing projects and ensure they are executed with the highest standards of quality, in order to provide care for those in need.
He emphasized that government agencies are working to strengthen public-private partnerships and adopt modern technologies and advanced mechanisms in the construction and development fields. These efforts, he noted, aim to advance efficient and innovative development models, expand implementation systems, and align with global trends to ensure the application of best practices in the sector.
"Real estate development is a key component of sustainable housing care," Al-Mishari stated, describing it as a foundation for human well-being and a driver in creating integrated, safe, advanced, and diverse urban environments.
The minister also revealed that mechanisms have already been implemented to activate real estate developer projects, enabling private sector partners to play a significant role across the value chain of national development initiatives. He highlighted the state’s commitment to fostering constructive dialogue and encouraging the exchange of expertise and experiences.
Al-Mishari praised the organizers of the Kuwait Build Summit, describing it as a strategic platform that brings together decision-makers, developers, and experts. He added that the summit facilitates knowledge-sharing and provides an opportunity to explore diverse experiences in the development and construction sectors, in line with top international standards and practices.
