Kuwait tie with India 1-1

NEW DELHI, June 27: In an exhilarating match, the Kuwait national football team secured their spot in the semi-finals of the South Asian Football Federation Championship. Topping Group A with an impressive 7 points, the team managed to secure a draw against their Indian counterparts (1-1) in the final round of group matches.

The decisive moment arrived in the 92nd minute when Kuwait capitalized on an unfortunate mistake by the Indian defender, resulting in an own goal that ultimately leveled the score. Earlier in the first half, Sunil Chhetri scored a goal for the Indian national team in the 47th minute.

With this result, Kuwait's point tally reached 7 points, with the same number of points as India. However, Kuwait secured the top spot due to a superior goal difference. Nepal claimed the third spot in the group with 3 points, while Pakistan remained without points.
