KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11: The Committee for the Implementation of Security Council Resolutions Issued Under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter to Combat Terrorism and Prevent the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday added new names to the national list under the sanctions executive regulations.
The committee circulated these names to all companies and financial institutions in the country. The newspaper obtained a copy of the circular, indicating that A.M.M., an Egyptian, and A.H.A., a non-Kuwaiti (Stateless), are now on the national list under the sanctions executive regulations.
This step is in line with the commitment of Kuwait to implement the Security Council resolutions on combating terrorism, enhancing financial transparency, and preventing the exploitation of the financial system to support terrorist activities.
