KUWAIT CITY, July 26: President of the Kuwaiti-Iranian Friendship Association Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Awadhi recently issued a statement to declare the association’s support for the measures taken by Kuwait against the convicted members of “Abdali cell”, reports Al-Anba daily.In the statement, Dr. Al-Awadhi said, “The Kuwaiti-Iranian Friendship Association, as a body that seeks reconciliation with the friendly Iranian people, denounces the criminal act committed by a handful of Iranian citizens who sold their country for possessing weapons, explosives, various types of ammunition, eavesdropping equipment and other devices with the aim of shaking the foundation of the state and transgressing its basic systems.”It affirmed that the members of this cell were trained to carry arms. They communicated, coordinated and received instructions from overseas parties to do harm to the state.The association also expressed rejection of blatant interferences by external parties in the affairs of the country, as these are not in line with the basic principles of diplomacy and relations.The association urged the public not to carry out any acts that may harm the security and safety of the country.
