KPI supplies Kuwait Airways aircraft with fuel in repatriation operation

KUWAIT, April 22: Kuwait Petroleum International has supplied aircraft of Kuwait Airways at Heathrow Airport during operation to repatriate Kuwaiti citizens, said KPI President and CEO Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Sabah.

KPI has supplied the KAC planes with Q8 Aviation fuel at Heathrow Airport, as back-up to the Government of the State of Kuwait to evacuate all Kuwaiti citizens from countries all over the world at a rate exceeding 100 flights, Sheikh Nawaf said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The company responded to the call by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to put all available resources at disposal of facing the novel coronavirus (sars cov 2) and bring the nationals back home safely.

KPI has also broadened its contributions, where its branch in northwest Europe bought sanitizers and medical masks, delivered them to Kuwaiti embassies in Paris and the Hague for distribution to Kuwaiti citizens in these nations.

KPI, known by its Q8 logo, was established in 1983 as the international marketing arm of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC). The company owns and operates a huge network of gas stations in European countries.
