KNPC achieves qualitative leap

KUWAIT CITY, June 14: The Kuwait National Petroleum Company announced on Tuesday the provision of a diesel product with low sulfur content and conforming to the latest international standards (Euro 5) in quantities that cover the needs of the local market. The Executive Vice President for Administrative and Commercial Affairs and the company’s official spokesman, Ahed Al-Khorayef, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the company has achieved a great qualitative leap in the specifications of this product, as the sulfur content in it does not exceed 10 parts per million.

Al-Khorayef added that this step has positive repercussions in favor of the environment and sustainable development, noting that the diesel product is one of the most important products of the environmental fuel project, which has recently been completed. He stressed the company’s keenness to provide this product on a regular basis to gas stations and to its customers in the local market, in line with the strategic objectives of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation 2040.
