KUWAIT CITY, Aug 9: A citizen armed with a knife was arrested in Raqqa after attempting to attack passersby and confronting security personnel. According to the source, the suspect brandished a knife and threatened both civilians and the responding officers. Despite multiple warning shots fired into the air, the man refused to surrender and continued to pose a threat. In response, security personnel shot the suspect on the foot to neutralize the threat. He was immediately subdued and transferred to Adan Hospital. His condition is stable. The suspect remains under heavy security, and a case has been registered against him for attempted murder and possession of a bladed weapon.
