Kim Kardashian shares health scare with brain aneurysm
Kim Kardashian

LOS ANGELES, Oct 25: Reality TV star and businesswoman Kim Kardashian disclosed that she has a brain aneurysm during the Season 7 premiere of her Hulu series The Kardashians.

A preview clip from the opening episode, titled Feels Like the Old Days, shows the 45-year-old mother of four undergoing an MRI scan. “There’s like a little aneurysm,” Kardashian tells her family as close-ups of her brain scans appear on a monitor. Her older sister, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, reacts with a wide-eyed, “Whoa!”

Kardashian explained the cause of the aneurysm as stress. “They’re like, ‘Just stress,’” she said, later adding, “People think I have the luxury of walking away.” The clip then shows her tearfully reflecting, “This week has been the hardest week of my life,” amid other personal challenges, including studying for the bar exam and her ongoing divorce from ex-husband Kanye “Ye” West, with whom she shares four children: North, 12; Saint, 9; Chicago, 7; and Psalm, 6.

The Hulu episode also highlights Kardashian’s emotional struggles with her skin condition psoriasis, which she said resurfaced due to stress following her divorce. “I felt more stressed, probably just because I had to super, super protect what I had to protect,” she said, emphasizing her role in shielding her children from negative situations.

Kardashian further discussed her relationship with West, acknowledging past efforts to support him while expressing relief that their marriage has ended. “I’m happy it’s over,” she said. “My ex will be in my life no matter what. We have four kids together.”

Medical experts define a brain aneurysm as a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel in the brain. While most aneurysms are small and not immediately dangerous, a rupture can cause bleeding in the brain, known as a hemorrhagic stroke, which is a medical emergency.

Details about Kardashian’s current health or symptoms remain unclear. Her agent, public relations team, and attorney did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Kardashian rose to fame with the reality TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians and has built a multi-faceted business empire spanning television, social media, cosmetics, and shapewear. She filed for divorce from West in 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage.

The new season of The Kardashians on Disney-owned Hulu continues to provide viewers with an intimate look at the personal and professional lives of Kris Jenner and her daughters, blending high-stakes drama, emotional revelations, and behind-the-scenes access to their business ventures.
