KUWAIT CITY, July 9: With the start of the summer vacation, traffic patrols intensified their campaigns against violators of traffic rules and regulations, resulting in the referral of 37 adolescents to the Juvenile Prosecution for driving without a license over the past seven days.
The weekly statistics of traffic patrols revealed the issuance of 18,741 traffic violation citations, impounding of 46 vehicles, seizure of 57 wanted vehicles; and detention of three individuals found to be in abnormal condition, 22 individuals who failed to present valid identification documents, and 116 others who violated the Residency Law, are wanted by law for involvement in various crimes and absconders. Meanwhile, officers from the General Department of Emergency Patrols arrested 46 individuals for the possession and consumption of drugs, and referred them to the Drug Control General Department (DCGD).
