KIB launches its first full-fledged self-service ITM at Qurtoba Co-op

Kuwait City, August 24: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced the launch of its first self-service ITM at Qurtoba Co-op in an effort to guarantee easy access to all KIB banking services and provide them in a modern and more convenient manner. This comes as part of the Bank’s commitment to implementing its comprehensive digital infrastructure development strategy and offering products and services that conform with the latest innovations and advances in the global banking industry. The new self-service ITM is also a testament to KIB’s unwavering commitment to fortifying and developing its suite of innovative financial solutions in response to the customers’ evolving needs and aspirations, cementing its role as a “Bank for Life”.

Commenting on the self-service ITM opening, Nawaf Al-Khrayef, Assistant General Manager of the Retail Banking Department at KIB, said: “Today marks the beginning of a new phase in our ongoing efforts for developing KIB’s infrastructure and the suite of banking products and services it offers customers in Kuwait. The self-service ITM represents a leap in KIB’s quality of financial solutions that are designed in response to our customers’ evolving needs and aspirations in a comprehensive, inclusive, and secure manner.”

He added: “This advanced step will undoubtedly bolster KIB’s digital infrastructure development strategy and how it reflects onto the quality of retail banking services and products. It will also motivate domestic banking institutions to compete over innovating new solutions that keep pace with the global technologies and exceed customers’ expectations.”

It serves to note that the new digital ITM stands out for its modern design and offers a full suite of services, allowing customers to complete a vast array of banking operations and transactions with ultimate ease, speed, and safety. The new ITM’s services and benefits include an interactive teller machine (ITM), which operates between 8 a.m. and 12 a.m. and allows customers and non-customers to benefit from a wide range of banking services, including cash depositing or withdrawals as well as cheque depositing or withdrawals. The new ITM also has a general inquiries feature, allowing both customers and non-customers to view the Bank’s products and inquire about methods of opening accounts, among other inquiries, such as opening a Dirwaza account, reviewing electronic ‘know your customer’ (eKYC) status and much more. Furthermore, the self-service card instant issuance machine allows customers to request and receive KIB banking cards securely within minutes. Other features include the advanced ATM which offers specialized advantages, such as cash transactions between KIB accounts, account management, card services – including PIN assignment and change, cardless withdrawal using the near field communication (NFC) technology, SMS subscription, balance inquiry, credit and prepaid card payment, and much more.
