KUWAIT CITY, Sept 09: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has announced accepting 19 employees in its scholarship and study grants program for the current year, marking an exceptional number since the program launch in 2014. The program has granted several employees who wish to pursue their higher education the opportunity to study in the best universities in Kuwait. It reaffirms KFH's leading position in developing its national workforce according to the highest international standards.

Academic fair

As part of its efforts to support employees wanting to benefit from the scholarship program, KFH organized an academic fair in Baitak Tower, inviting top universities in Kuwait to showcase their programs for employees and familiarize them with areas of studies, requirements and privileges offered by participating universities.

During his tour in the academic fair, KFH Group Chief Human Resources and Transformation Officer Zeyad AlOmar, said that the event is the first to be organized by KFH for its staff. “The fair responds to the high demand of employees,” noted AlOmar “Thanks to the successful organization of the fair and the ongoing efforts by the Human Resources sector in highlighting the significance of the scholarship program and its opportunities, many employees interested in pursuing their studies have applied.”

Privileges and full support

AlOmar stressed KFH’s support for employees during their completion of their postgraduate or graduate studies, adding that KFH fully sponsors the employees' scholarship program such as study fees. The program also provides many privileges for the accepted employee including a supporting environment, sabbatical leave and reduced working hours during the semester, allowing employees to attend lectures and exams.

Human Capital

KFH consistently works on providing a qualified human resource infrastructure in various disciplines closely related to banking. This is considered one of the success factors and essential incentives for sustainable growth that aligns with and serves the overall strategic objectives of KFH. The scholarship program was introduced to maximize the value of KFH human capital and prepare a generation of well-rounded and young national leaders according to the best scientific standards. This is achieved with the aim of keeping abreast of the diverse developments in the field. The program also contributes to the development of talented, creative, and outstanding individuals, thus having a workforce capable of staying up to date with the banking industry advances and can drive the change and innovate solutions based on modern technologies.

Since the launch of the program in 2014, KFH has sponsored over 60 employees studying for their bachelor’s or master’s degrees. This year, KFH is supporting 19 employees in their studies.
