KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: The Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) announced on Wednesday its comprehensive development plans focusing on prevention, infrastructure, and smart services as part of a strategic vision to enhance performance efficiency, ensure rapid emergency response, and strengthen community safety.

In a detailed visual presentation titled “General Fire Force Document / Achievements / Figures” held at the Government Communication Center, Brigadier Mohammad Al-Gharib, Public Relations and Media Director of the KFF, outlined the force’s strategic document launched under the slogan “Protection and Prevention.” He emphasized that the initiative is rooted in core values, including efficiency, effectiveness, loyalty, sacrifice, cooperation, creativity, and integrity.

Brigadier Al-Gharib highlighted key pillars of the strategy, such as human resource development, institutional excellence, and advancing prevention, awareness, mechanization, and technological innovation.

Reviewing the force’s achievements from January 1 to October 20, 2025, he reported handling 592 government project transactions, 3,047 public project transactions, and 15,382 license transactions. Additionally, 2,728 notifications, 1,058 violations, and 3,323 administrative closures were recorded. The Fire Force responded to 13,501 reports and conducted extensive inspection campaigns, issuing 4,054 notifications, 2,621 administrative closures, and 257 closure warnings. These efforts have significantly contributed to controlling facilities that violated safety and fire prevention regulations, resulting in legal actions.

Between January 1 and September 30, the KFF conducted 34,650 inspections and successfully implemented a smart licensing system using QR code technology, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and other relevant agencies. The force also introduced the railway code among approved protection standards.

Further developments include launching contractor and examiner licensing systems, fire equipment accreditation, and a transaction transfer service for engineering offices and contractors. The force has prioritized health readiness and discipline through periodic medical exams and competency-based nomination for supervisory roles. Since early 2025, an anti-drug program has been active, with over 600 soldiers tested — representing 28 percent of the force.

The KFF’s institutional development and smart service achievements extend to collaboration with the Kuwait Municipality to expedite project approvals, integration with the Ministry of Justice for property-related transactions, and digital registration of students applying for officer courses via the unified government platform (Sahel).

A strategic partnership with Google now supports 24/7 services at the Cyber Security Operations Center. Notably, the Fire Force recently earned the internationally recognized ISO 9001-2015 certification, reflecting adherence to global quality standards across all sectors.

Enhancing field readiness, the KFF added eight advanced marine rescue boats to its fleet and inaugurated new centers, including the Subhan Center for Hazardous Materials, Ardiya Licensing Center, South Airport Center, Al-Jun Marine Rescue Center, and a fire station on the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Causeway.

The force has also signed cooperation protocols with the General Staff of the Army, the Police Sports Federation, and the Central Agency for Information Technology. A strategic partnership with the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training will launch a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering Technology.

Public awareness remains a priority through campaigns and courses under the “Prevention and Protection” slogan, engaging governmental and civil agencies. These efforts have contributed to an 8.34 percent reduction in fire incidents compared to last year.
