KD 83 million set to implement system at Airport Terminal 2

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 13: The Ministry of Public Works (MPW) has allocated KD 83 million for the implementation of the Information, Communication Technology and Security System (ICT) in the new passenger terminal at Kuwait International Airport (T2), reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources. Sources disclosed this is one of the important and main contracts in the project as the new airport will be at the center, linked to all travel halls and the cargo city through the information and communication system.

Sources said this system will be developed and expanded in the future, adding that the regulatory authorities have instructed the ministry to study the impact of the corona pandemic on contract prices in a bid to get the best price.

Meanwhile , the Kuwait Municipality ranked 11th in the monthly report (November 2020) about the accounts of ministries, authorities and government agencies on the social networking site ‘Twitter’, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The Public Relations Department in the Municipality explained that the ranking is based on the activity, interaction and attracting followers. The number of the Municipality’s tweets reached 30,450 as a result of efforts, effective contributions and response to the public on Twitter where the people post their complaints to the regulatory agencies and follow them up until they are solved.
