KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19: Kazma Club aims to continue its dominance in the Federation Championship as it faces Burgan today at 5:00 PM in the 15th round at the Volleyball Federation Hall in Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex. The round also features Al-Arabi taking on Kuwait Club at 7:00 PM.
Kazma tops the standings with 17 points, followed by Kuwait Club with 15 points, while Al-Qadsia and Burgan each have 14 points. Al-Shabab sits at 11 points, Yarmouk six, Al-Arabi five, Sulaibikhat two, and Al-Nasr remains winless.
The Al-Arabi vs Kuwait Club clash leans in favor of the “Sons of Kaifan” due to their experience and squad depth, but the Kazma-Burgan match is expected to be the toughest of the round. Kazma, led by Brazilian coach Cacareto, is undefeated and aims to continue its winning streak to secure a semifinal spot. The team relies on star players, including Brazilians Costa and Adimar.
Burgan, coached by Argentine Alejandro Grosi, has won four of their seven matches so far, showing solid performance. The team depends on foreign players, Frenchman Arthur Maybir and Macedonian Alexander Liyaftov, alongside key local talents including former Kazma star Abdulrahman Al-Mutawa, who faces his old team for the first time this season, as well as Mohammed Al-Shammari and Jassim Al-Sabaghah.
