SAN FRANCISCO, July 20: Pop superstar Katy Perry experienced a frightening moment on Friday night during her Lifetimes Tour performance at the Chase Center in San Francisco when a malfunction caused her midair stage prop to jolt unexpectedly.

The incident occurred while Perry was performing her hit song “Roar” from atop a large butterfly-shaped prop designed to soar above the crowd. Midway through the number, the mechanism supporting the prop suddenly tilted and dipped, causing Perry to slip slightly in her seat and pause her singing.

Footage of the mishap quickly circulated on social media, capturing a visibly startled Perry and concerned reactions from fans below. Despite the alarming moment, the singer remained on the prop and was not injured.

After the show, Perry addressed the situation with her trademark humor, posting a blurry close-up photo of her surprised expression on Instagram Stories with the caption, “Good Night San Fran.”

As of now, representatives for Perry have not issued an official statement, though the singer’s post seemed to reassure fans that she is doing fine.

The tour continues as scheduled, with fans praising Perry’s professionalism and calm under pressure.
