A winning jockey receives his prize from an official
Kuwait, March 16: The horse Juzaam from Al-Adaliya Stable was crowned champion of the His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Cup of Jahra Equestrian Club Horseracing Season 2016/2017, which was part of the club’s horseracing festival and had five settings.Presenting the cup and prizes to the winners was Capital Governor ret. Lieutenant General Thabet Al- Muhanna, who was accompanied by the Treasurer of Jahra Equestrian Club Nasser Al-Khaledi in the event, which was held at the late Sheikh Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Racecourse. In the first setting, which was a 1,600-meter race, the horse Juzaam crossed the finish line first after facing tough competition from other participating horses.Meanwhile, the horse Qarnas emerged winner of the second setting – a 1,400-meter race. In third setting – a 1,200-meter race, the horse Misa’ad took first place. In a 1,200-meter race of fourth setting, the horse Warad was in the forefront until the end of the race, winning first place. The horse Himaal from Al-Badeen Stable came first in the 1,200-meter race of the fifth setting. In a press statement, Treasurer of Jahra Equestrian Club Nasser Al- Khaledi expressed his pride in hosting this race, which embodied the keen interest of His Highness the Crown Prince of Kuwait in this heritage sport.
