KUWAIT CITY, Sept 10: The Ministry of Finance is continuing with its collaboration with the Ministry of Education to deliver awareness lectures for secondary and intermediate school students. This initiative is part of a long-term plan that began in 2005 and was renewed in subsequent years, most recently in 2019.
The goal is to enhance the financial and tax culture in society. These programs are designed to increase the level of tax awareness across various segments of society, including students, through educational competitions held during morning assemblies.
Four schools (both boys’ and girls’) from the intermediate and secondary levels have been selected to participate in these programs, in coordination with the School Activities Department at the Ministry of Education, and facilitate the Ministry of Finance team’s role in presenting competitions during morning assemblies. Responses are expected by October 3, 2024.
This initiative is in line with the directives of His Highness the Prime Minister and aims to enhance tax culture in the country. The Ministry of Finance team will be supported throughout the implementation of these activities.
Meanwhile, as part of the Education Ministry’s intensive preparations for the academic year 2024/2025, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education Affairs Mansour Al-Dhafiri recently issued important instructions on the implementation of a distance education system in public schools, if the need arises. The newspaper obtained a copy of the official letter sent to the directors general of educational districts; stressing the need to update the data of students and teachers in the student record system, and appropriate distribution of students and teachers per classroom to ensure full readiness to use the ‘Teams’ educational program.
