KUWAIT CITY, Jun 17: Two drug enforcement officers were seriously injured while carrying out an arrest in the Raqqa area. The officers were able to apprehend an Iraqi expatriate on charges of drug trafficking, specifically involving the drug hashish.
During the investigation, another Iraqi individual living in an apartment in the Jabriya area confessed to involvement. The police obtained permission from the public prosecution and raided the apartment.
The second suspect who was found to have a quarter of a kilo of hashish resisted the police officers, causing one of the windows to be broken. This resulted in two detectives sustaining injuries. The suspect was eventually brought under control. He was then referred to the public prosecution for further legal proceedings.
