Iraq loses 2,600 megawatts after Iranian supply reductions

BAGHDAD, Aug 10: Iraq’s Ministry of Electricity on Tuesday said that it lost 2,600 megawatts from its electrical power after Iran reduced its gas supply to the country. In a statement by the Ministry said that Iran reduced its daily gas supply from 30 million cubic meter to 20 million, in addition to reducing the southern area daily supply from 17 million to 5 million, which resulted in the loss of 2,600 megawatts from the electrical national grid
