KUWAIT CITY, June 18, (KUNA): Officials from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) signaled a desire to visit Kuwait on July 10 to complete discussions on final solutions to lift the suspension on Kuwaiti sports, a senior official said.

Talking to KUNA, Director of Public Authority for Sport (PAS) Hmoud Al-Fulaiteh hoped the meeting with the IOC would lead to a breakthrough allowing the Kuwaiti sports to return to the international scene.

Last April, delegations from Kuwaiti and the IOC discussed the issue in Lausanne, Switzerland.

On Dec 6, 2017, the FIFA lifted the suspension it had imposed on the Kuwait football in October 2015 after Kuwait’s National Assembly (Parliament) approved amendments to the sports law.
