MUSCAT, July 29: Omani authorities have thwarted a drug smuggling attempt at Salalah International Airport after 6.5 kilograms of marijuana were discovered concealed within a passenger’s luggage coming from India. The operation was carried out by the General Directorate of Oman Customs in coordination with the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control, as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and safeguard the nation’s borders.
