KUWAIT CITY, May 28: In a continued effort to combat drug trafficking, Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior, through the Criminal Security Sector and the General Department of Narcotics Control, has arrested an Indian national for possessing large quantities of narcotic and psychotropic substances intended for distribution.
The arrest followed extensive surveillance and field investigations that tracked the suspect's movements. He was apprehended in the Salwa area with approximately 8 kilograms of heroin and 2 kilograms of crystal meth in his possession, along with two precision scales used for drug preparation and distribution.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to receiving instructions from accomplices based abroad to distribute the drugs locally. He has been referred to the Narcotics Prosecution along with the seized materials for further legal action.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to protecting society from the dangers of drug abuse and trafficking, urging the public to report any suspicious activity through official channels
