Indian envoy meets Kuwaiti official – Registration for ‘Vande Bharat’ mission

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 29: Indian Ambassador to Kuwait HE Sibi George recently called on HE Nasser Al-Hein, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations at Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral ties and means of enhancing cooperation between the two friendly countries.

The Indian envoy and Al-Hein also discussed regional and international developments of mutual interest. Meanwhile, a significant number of Indian nationals currently registered for repatriation from Kuwait to India have not availed of the ‘repatriation flights’ that are being operated under the ‘Vande Bharat’ mission, says a press release issued by the Indian Embassy in Kuwait.

The Embassy is launching a fresh registration drive to assess the current actual demand for the benefit of Indian nationals stranded in Kuwait, who wish to travel on the earliest available repatriation fl ights from Kuwait to various destinations in India. This is not in lieu of the ongoing registration drive for repatriation, which will continue to be operational. However, the new drive for registration is for a limited period only.
