Indian Ambulance driver working for MOH commits suicide after stabbing his wife to death

KUWAIT CITY, May 4: Tragedy struck the Salmiya region today with news of a murder-suicide involving an Indian couple. The Ministry of Interior was alerted after receiving a report that a person had jumped from the building roof top. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the individual was a 33-year-old Indian man from Kerala, who lived in the same building. His apartment was found to be locked, prompting authorities to obtain legal permission to enter it. Inside, they found the man’s wife, a 32-year-old Indian woman, lying in a pool of her own blood with a large knife beside her.

A security source confirmed that the woman had been stabbed with the knife and that the man had killed her before taking his own life by jumping from the building’s rooftop. According to residents of the building, they heard a loud thud at around 9 am, which was later found to be the sound of the man’s body hitting the ground. The couple had been living alone, as their children were in Kerala, India. He was working for Ministry of Health as ambulance driver while his wife was teacher in Salmiya Indian Model School.

While investigations are ongoing, initial information suggests that the time between the murder and the suicide was very short. The incident has been registered as a case, and authorities will continue to investigate the tragedy in an effort to shed more light on the circumstances that led to this devastating event.
