Indian ambassador thanks Kuwaiti leadership, community members in his New Year message

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: In his New Year 2022 message the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, HE Sibi George thanked the Indian community support group, associations and groups who individually and collectively, joined hands with the embassy to help hundreds of thousands of “our countrymen in need. I thank our doctors, nurses and medical professionals, scientists, engineers and other professionals, and our teachers who are among the unsung heroes in the fight against the pandemic.

“In 2022, we will continue to work with each of these groups and associations to ensure the welfare of the Indian community in Kuwait and to help them face the challenges of the new variant.

“The safety of our children and their upbringing are among the most important priorities for us. I thank our leadership in India and those who joined hands with us here in Kuwait. In 2022, we will continue to work with our schools to ensure our children will get full support in facing the challenges of pandemic. We will also work with the concerned authorities to further improve the quality of education and infrastructure in our CBSE affiliated schools in Kuwait and take steps to inculcate in our children the values of our civilizational ethos.

“COVID-19 pandemic has been a global challenge of a magnitude that humanity has not experienced in many a lifetime. In 2020 and 2021, the challenges were too many for most of us. It is still not over, when we welcome New Year 2022; we are now faced with the new challenges of a new variant.

“I thank the Kuwaiti leadership, HH the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al- Ahmed Al-Jaber AI-Sabah and HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah for the continued support and care being extended to us here in Kuwait.

“To tell the phenomenal story of India’s progress even in the face of grave adversity and to celebrate our beautiful relationship with Kuwait, the embassy organized many events, including the launch of the celebrations to mark the important anniversary of 75th year of India’s independence and 60th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries.

“In 2022 we might face challenges that we faced in 2020 and 2021. We should spread the message to all to follow COVID-19 related guidelines and protocol. Let’s join hands and work together to defeat the many challenges we will for sure face in 2022. My greetings and best wishes to all,” the ambassador concluded
