KUWAIT CITY, Aug 31: A governmental report revealed that the State spent KD31.475 million on the end- of- service benefits of non-Kuwaiti employees in several government agencies during fiscal 2022/2023, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The report affirmed that the bonuses were paid in accordance with the employment contracts, relevant decisions, executive regulations of Civil Service Law No. 15/1979 and regulations governing subsidiaries approved by the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Official figures showed the amount that Kuwait spent on workers’ compensation for fiscal 2022/2023 reached KD8.502 billion or 99.6 percent of the approved budget for this item, amounting to KD8.537 billion. In addition, the State’s expenditure on health insurance for non-Kuwaitis reached KD4.6 million in the last fiscal year.
