KUWAIT CITY, Feb 13: The Ministry of Interior stated that the fine for parking in a disability parking space, if settled through reconciliation, will be KD 150, under the new amendments to the Traffic Law, which will be enforced starting April 22, reports Al-Seyassah daily. However, if the violation is referred to court, the court may impose a prison sentence of up to three years, and/or a fine ranging from KD 600 to KD 1,000. The ministry affirmed the importance of respecting parking spaces designated for people with disabilities, insisting that these spaces are reserved for them. It stressed that respecting these spaces reflects the driver’s awareness and respect for others.
