KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: Coinciding with the expected increase in social events, most notably weddings, Municipal Council member Fahad Al-Khunin has submitted a question to the executive branch regarding plans and alternatives for the wedding halls that were removed about six months ago without a clear and announced alternative.
While Al-Khunin pointed out in his question the important services that wedding halls provide to the community, he underscored the importance of supporting the shared vision between the Kuwait Municipality and the council to organize these events in accordance with the regulatory and aesthetic standards of Kuwait. He asked the Municipality to clarify its plan to accommodate the expected demand for wedding parties next season, while identifying alternative locations or areas designated and equipped for these events.
He also asked the Municipality to explain the conditions, regulations, and basic obligations that the Municipality will require service providers (hall owners) to adhere to to obtain the necessary licenses and ensure safe and legal organization.
