KUWAIT CITY, Sept 12:  According to a statement issued today, Tuesday, by the Kuwaiti Embassy in Cairo, a map of the Arab world that did not show the international borders of Kuwait was mistakenly displayed by a lecturer during a course attended by some Kuwaiti officers. The embassy said that it contacted the Egyptian Foreign Ministry and the organizers of the course, in coordination with the Kuwaiti Military Office in Cairo, to inquire about the reasons for using an unofficial map that omitted Kuwait’s recognized international boundaries. They explained that it was an unintentional error by the lecturer and apologized to the participants for this mistake, which did not mean any disrespect to Kuwait. They also affirmed that the strong and historical ties between the two fraternal countries and peoples cannot be affected or harmed by this incident.
