NEW DELHI, Mar 14: A group of Hindus hosted a party to drink the urine of cows, because they believe that it protects against the Coronavirus because many Hindus consider the cows sacred and some believe that their urine has curative properties.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Leaders of the Hindu Nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party have promoted the use of cow urine as a treatment for cancer. A leader in the northeastern Indian state of Assam also told state lawmakers this month during a parliament session that the urine and dung of the cows could be used to treat the Coronavirus.

Experts in India have repeatedly emphasized that the urine of cows does not cure diseases such as cancer and there is no evidence that it may protect against the Coronavirus. Most Indians including Hindus believe that cow urine is not a cure for all illness.

The All-India Hindu Party or Union organized this event at its headquarters in New Delhi the capital of the country which was attended by 200 people and organizers hope to host similar events across India.

Chakrabani, the party's Maharaj, stood up to take pictures placing a spoonful of cow urine near a cartoon of Corona virus.
"We have been drinking cows' urine for 21 years, just as we bathed in their droppings," said one of the attendees. We have never felt the need to take an English medicine. ”
