KUWAIT CITY: There is no backing down from the decision to hike the electricity tariffs for the investment sector, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources close to the Ministry of Electricity and Water. The hike is expected to become effective from Aug 22, 2017 as had been announced earlier.The ministry has called on all consumers to settle their old bills prior to the implementation of the new tariff.In the meantime, the Fatwa and Legislation Department of the National Assembly has not submitted any recommendation to the Council of Ministers to increase traffic fines either against expatriates or citizens.
