Hezbollah under a guillotine of havoc

WHAT happened recently in Beirut is a calamity by all standards. No official in that country can justify or shield anyone responsible for such havoc in administration and governance.

However, there is a root cause for all that has happened. Irrespective of whether it was intentional or not, the most important thing is that it led to the destruction of half of the Lebanese capital and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people.

Any attempt to cover up and shield the root perpetrator of this crime and the conspirators will only mean persistence in plunging Lebanon into more crises and disasters until it falls on its knees or until divine salvation intervenes.

All fingers of accusation, from whichever direction, point towards Hezbollah.

Since the time this group dominated the government and established a culture that has nothing to do with the history, pluralism and openness of Lebanon, it began to promote false victories, buy politicians and the media with Iranian power and money, and brainwash masses with deceptive rhetoric of resistance.

This group attacks the Gulf states and their symbols, boasting about its ability to destroy these “glass states”, as rumbled by Nasrallah in his speeches. This renders us to feel as if Lebanon has become like ancient Rome, and there is a new Nero named Hassan Nasrallah, a homicidal and destructive maniac who is ready to destroy his country at any cost.

This accusation did not come from vacuum, but because the group of sham and hypocrisy dominates the country’s facilities and opens its borders and ports for smuggling weapons and explosives with impunity, without being deterred by the authority, which is either terrified of it or it dumps corruption money to compel silence, using the methods of Nazi’s Gestapo.

The disaster caused by Hezbollah raises many questions. Two days after the “International Justice” ruling on the case of the assassination of martyr Rafik Hariri and his companions, which is a ruling that will break the back of this terrorist group, it ended up looking for a way to shield itself from this bitter cup.

Therefore, it should not come as a surprise if what happened at Beirut Port, which is controlled by this group, happens to be one of its plots to divert attention from the ruling, which is expected to be issued tomorrow.

In this regard, we have to look at the reality behind the storage of such a high quantity of ammonia in one of the port’s quarters since 2014. Can a reasonable person believe that the political and security officials who were aware of its presence did not realize its dangers? Why was it left recklessly if not for the fact that there was a greater authority above them all who made them leave it at that port instead of confiscating it?

It is common knowledge that every suspect would arm himself with everything possible to prevent justice. Therefore, it cannot be a coincidence that this explosion has happened two days before the Special Tribunal for Lebanon announces its indictment on the late Hariri case.

Aren’t these questions raising more question marks about the purpose behind storing the ammonia in such a sensitive area? Why was it not destroyed, or handed over to the Lebanese army, as the latter is the only institution concerned with such highly explosive materials?

This leads us to recall what Nasrallah said a few years ago in his speech when he threatened to bomb the Israeli port of Haifa and destroy the ammonia containers there, and said it will lead to the killing of tens of thousands, thereby drawing a scenario similar to what happened at the port of Beirut.

On this basis, were these materials stored in order to carry out the aforementioned scenario in Israel? Since he began to feel cornered, did he decide to detonate them in Beirut in order to divert attention from what he and his party were waiting for?

Three decades ago, this party brought scourge to Lebanon, starting with pushing it into isolation due to its terrorist actions and conspiracies against the Arab countries, followed by its massacres of the Syrians, Iraqis and Yemenis.

Hasn’t the Lebanese had enough of all these misfortunes? Isn’t it time for them to get out of the tunnel of misery into which they were brought, and break with a united hand the shuckles of this group and its terror?
