400 Camels Compete In Ninth Camel Racing Season

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 16: Presently, the Kuwaiti Camel Racing Club is hosting the ninth session of camel racing for the current season, dedicated to the cherished heritage sport. The event boasts the registration of 400 male camels of diverse breeds, including 80 male heels, virgin males, Sudanese females, and female males, along with stallions. These participants are set to compete fiercely over an eight-kilometer distance. Enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the fifth round, specifically designated for the Cup in honor of the late Salman Abdullah Al-Dabbous.

The competition extends to Al- Jaza’a Abkar and Al-Jaza’a Qa’dan males, engaged in a six-kilometer race. Notably, 80 males of Al- Jaza’a Q’adan are vying for victory in the cup presented by the club. Hussein Manea Al-Dawas, Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed his delight at the race being held at the club. He extended sincere gratitude to the heirs of the late Salman Al- Dabbous, acknowledging their significant support for the sport, which has deep roots in the traditions of fathers, grandfathers, and camel owners. Al-Dawas emphasized the crucial role played by everyone in preserving this valuable heritage sport
