KUWAIT CITY, Jul 28 : The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has reminded employees and employers of their rights and obligations regarding annual leave under Kuwait’s Labour Law, stressing that annual leave is a legal entitlement designed to protect both workers and employers.

The authority also clarified that employers have the right to schedule annual leave based on workplace requirements, in as per Article 72 of the Labour Law. Employers may divide an employee’s annual leave period, provided it is done with the worker’s consent and in line with legal provisions.
PAM highlighted that employees must receive their annual leave payment before starting their leave, as stipulated under Article 71 of the Labour Law.
The authority urged both employers and employees to understand their legal rights and responsibilities, emphasizing that proper regulation of annual leave helps maintain a balance between business needs and workers’ welfare.
