KUWAIT CITY, June 12, (KUNA): The Meteorology Department forecast that the country will be affected by the extension of the Indian monsoon low-pressure system, accompanied by a hot and humid air mass with light to moderate variable winds shifting to the southeast, over the weekend. The low-pressure system will gradually deepen starting Friday, with winds turning light to moderate northwesterly, dry, and very hot. The weather this weekend is expected to be extremely hot during the day and warm and humid at night. The Acting Director of the department Dharar Al-Ali told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather during the daytime on Friday will be extremely hot and relatively humid in coastal areas, with variable winds gradually shifting to light to moderate northwesterly speeds of 8 to 28 km/h.
Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 47 and 49 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate with waves between one and three feet.
