KUWAIT CITY, Sept 11: The Ministry of Health has conducted a national survey to determine the rate of health problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes and blood fats among grade 10 students in public and private schools, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The ministry distributed questionnaires to the schools where grade 10 students responded to several questions, including their medical history and lifestyle.

The students were asked whether they smoke or not, the number of cigarettes per day if they smoke, if there are former smokers among them, their eating habits in the past seven days, types of fastfood meals they eat, intake of salty food, time they spend in physical at least 60 minutes a day, lethargy and laziness (inactivity), and number of hours spent on television, mobile phones, electronic games and chat sites through social media platforms.
