KUWAIT CITY, Feb 27: Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries have signed a health insurance policy for oil sector workers during official overseas missions, seminars and training courses around the world, including the United States and Canada, reports Anba daily quoting senior oil sources. Sources said the health insurance policy for delegated employees is valid from Feb 1 to 30 June 2019 and it will be automatically renewed every year starting from July 1.

This insurance policy covers the cost of treatment in emergency cases resulting from illness or accident – up to KD15,000 per worker per year. Asked about the limits of coverage, sources disclosed they include emergency treatments in hospitals and outpatient clinics such as dental, eyes, chronic diseases, pregnancy and delivery for about KD1,500.
