KUWAIT CITY, March 23: Director of the Hawally Health sector, Dr Fahd Al-Foudari said he supports the proposal which calls on the expatriates to buy their medicines or at least part of the cost, reports Al-Rai daily. He added more than 60 percent visitors to the Hawalli medical facilities and the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital, are expatriates. He pointed out the proposal should be accompanied by further tightening control on the private sector to prevent any manipulation of price of medicines. Al-Foudari explained the increase in fees for health services on expatriates will reduce the pressure on hospitals, and will have a strong impact on solving the problem of overcrowding.
