KUWAIT CITY, Sept 24: The Kuwait Dermatology Association recently held an awareness event on atopic dermatitis as part of its "Ghadan" campaign at the Mutab Al-Shallahi Clinic in the Ishbiliya area. The event was attended by key figures, including Dr. Muhammad Al-Rashidi, Director of the Farwaniya Health District, Dr. Hussein Al-Mutairi, Director of Primary Care Centers in the region, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Rabab, Head of the Al-Shallahi Center.
In a statement, the association emphasized that the campaign aims to raise awareness about the proper management of atopic dermatitis and to provide information on the latest treatments available. The goal is to enhance patients' quality of life by improving their understanding of the condition. Atopic dermatitis, also known as atopic eczema, is a chronic skin condition that primarily affects children. It is characterized by dry skin, severe itching, and irritation, which can lead to painful skin cracks.
