KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: The Inspection Team from the Hawalli Governorate Inspection Department of the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has issued 32 confiscation reports following a comprehensive inspection tour of various food establishments in the region.

Muhammad Al-Kandari, the inspection inspector at the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition in Hawalli Governorate, stated that the violations encompassed a range of issues. Two reports were issued for the circulation of food unfit for human consumption, displaying changes in color, shape, and smell. Consequently, 240 kilograms of compromised food materials were destroyed.

Furthermore, three violations were recorded for non-compliance with general hygiene rules and requirements, primarily due to the significant presence of live insects in the inspected food establishments, reports Al Anba. Al-Kandari emphasized that a total of 12 reports were issued concerning the trade of food workers who lacked the required health certificates from the competent authorities. Additionally, 12 arrest reports were filed against employers who engaged workers without obtaining the necessary health certificates.

In an additional enforcement action, a report was issued for the circulation of adulterated food of unknown origin. Furthermore, two reports highlighted non-compliance with the general health requirements of a particular food facility, emphasizing the inspection team's commitment to ensuring the adherence of food establishments to essential health and safety standards.
