Juvenile drivers without licenses arrested in Al-Wafra campaign

KUWAIT CITY, July 18: In the Al-Qasr area, a Gulf national born in 1996 reported to Taima Police Station that the license plates of his four-wheel drive vehicle had been stolen from in front of his residence. Concerned about potential misuse in criminal activities, the victim's report led security personnel to register a case under "plate theft." This incident highlights ongoing concerns about stolen plates being used in various criminal acts.

Meanwhile, in a proactive measure against reckless driving, Ahmadi traffic police collaborated with traffic investigations to conduct a campaign in the Al-Wafra area yesterday morning. The operation resulted in the arrest of five juveniles who were caught driving without licenses. The offenders were promptly referred to the Juvenile Prosecution for further action. Additionally, fines were issued for reckless driving violations observed during the crackdown.

A security source from the Interior Ministry Operations disclosed that prior information alerted authorities to the reckless behavior of a group of young drivers in Al-Wafra. Responding swiftly, patrols were dispatched to the reported location to curb the reckless activities and impound the vehicles involved. This effort aims to enhance public safety and uphold traffic regulations across the region.
