KUWAIT CITY, Sep 22: The inaugural meeting of the Executive Office of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation took place today in Kuwait, and a pivotal decision was reached to rebrand as the "Gulf Football Federation." Furthermore, they announced December 2024 as the official launch date for the eagerly anticipated "Gulf 26" tournament, which is slated to be hosted in the country.
In a press release, the Executive Office disclosed that the meeting revolved around the development of new championships for various age groups. The Competitions Committee, in collaboration with member federations, will conduct a comprehensive study to determine the most suitable dates for hosting these tournaments in the near future.
During the meeting, special attention was given to a report presented by the Chairman of the Inspection Committee, Jassim Al-Rumaihi. This report detailed the committee's recent visit to Kuwait, where they assessed the preparedness of sports facilities and hotels to host the upcoming Gulf Championship.
