KUWAIT CITY, Sept 25: Gulf Bank reaffirms its commitment to promoting sustainability within the community and encouraging widespread participation in sports through its continued collaboration with Suffix Event Management Company.
Together, they are sponsoring the 10th edition of the Gulf Bank 642 Marathon, scheduled for November 30, 2024. Mrs. Najla Aleisa, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Gulf Bank, stated, “This year marks a decade of our partnership with Suffix Event Management Company in sponsoring the Gulf Bank 642 Marathon, which has established itself as Kuwait’s most significant sports and social event, and remains the only marathon in the country with international accreditation.” She added,
“We are eagerly preparing for another successful edition of the Gulf Bank 642 Marathon. This event transcends being a mere race; it serves as an invitation to incorporate exercise and walking into our daily routines. The Gulf Bank 642 Marathon draws thousands of athletes and running enthusiasts from all around the world, set against a lively atmosphere and a scenic route featuring iconic landmarks such as the Kuwait Towers, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre, the Grand Mosque, Souq Al-Mubarakiya, and Gulf Bank’s historical Headquarters, among others.
The Gulf Bank 642 Marathon offers four categories to cater to participants of all abilities: a 5K walk or run, a 10K run, a half marathon (21K), and a full marathon (42K). Entry is open to participants aged 11 and above for the 5K, 16 and above for the 10K, and 18 and above for the half marathon.
